What is it?
Creative Scotland is the new organisation tasked with leading the development of the arts, creative and screen industries across Scotland. It will begin life in a world where sector and artform boundaries are eroded, where technology offers limitless platforms for creativity, where environmental factors are challenging us to reconsider our lifestyles and where globally we are increasingly inter-dependent.
What will it do?
Creative Scotland will offer investment opportunities for practitioners and producers, be an informed advocate and demonstrate excellence across a wide range of artistic and creative industries. It will have access to a range of methods of investment including grants, bursaries, loans and equity. The intelligence it gathers and develops from practitioners, partners and sector peers will guide its investment priorities.
